Who may use the app
Oracle Depositions is an internal tool of Michelle Acosta Law Firm, PLLC. Only the firm's attorneys and authorized staff may add or use it, and only for depositions in matters the firm handles. It is not available to the public or to any other organization.
What you authorize
By adding the app to your Zoom account, you authorize it to request a short-lived token from Zoom and to join a meeting on your behalf when you ask it to, as described in the Oracle Depositions Privacy Policy.
Your responsibilities
- Attend the meeting for the whole time the app is in it.
- Obtain the meeting host's recording permission through Zoom.
- Give any notice of recording that the rules of procedure, a court order, or an agreement of the parties requires, and confirm recording notice and consent in the firm's system before recording starts.
- Comply with any protective order, confidentiality agreement, or court order that applies to the deposition.
- Mark off-the-record portions as off the record.
Not the official record
The transcript the app produces is a working record for the firm's use. It does not replace the certified transcript prepared by the court reporter or deposition officer.
Zoom
Your use of Zoom is also governed by Zoom's own terms. Oracle Depositions is not made, endorsed, or supported by Zoom.
Availability and liability
The app is provided for the firm's internal use as is, without any guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, the firm is not liable for any loss arising from the app's unavailability or errors.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
